Moscow Region Energy Retail Company (ESCMO) was established by Moscow Region Government and Mosenergosbyt company in 2007.

On October 1, 2007, the Board of Trading System Administrator (Non-Profit Partnership) passed the resolution to grant ESCMO the status of the wholesale electricity and capacity market entity.
Today, ESCMO: 

• Provides services to large industrial companies including those incorporated in such holding companies as Transmashholding, Lafarge and Heidelberg Cement.
• Is the shareholder and the sole executive body of Korolev Power Grid retail company;
• Is the member of Energy Audit Non-Profit Partnership (Self-Regulatory Organization);
• Participates in trading at the Capacity Exchange;
• Is licensed by the Federal Security Service to perform work involving the use of the classified information constituting state secrets;
• Is accredited with the Ministry of Industry and Science of Moscow Region as the reliable provider of energy conservation services;
• Actively extends new lines of business involving, primarily, more efficient use of energy and metering consumption thereof.

ESCMO received numerous letters of gratitude and honorary certificates from the Government and top management of the Fuel and Energy Sector of Moscow Region.
